While I'm blogging here's some stuff that happened recently:
My father tried to get in touch and it was whiny.
My ex managed to get in touch and it was passive aggressive.
I got engaged and was awesome.
My fiancee is getting sent to Afghanistan which was, and remains, the epitome of suck.

Second, I'm sorry to hear about Afghanistan. That really does suck.
Congratulations!! (I am so happy for you, I almost did the happy dance when I read the news. I was at work in a conference room full of people waiting for my next brilliant thought).

And yeah, it does suck that he's going but the timing's actually pretty good - I'm going to be so busy over the next few months that it should fly by. *crosses fingers*
I'll second the congratulations and hope the soon-to-be-Mr. Odd hurries back ASAP.
Congrats! Hope that he is really speedy coming back from the epitome of suck.
So many congrats to you! He must certainly be a man of quality, and clearly he is a man of taste.
Shitty about getting sent out, but hopefully that time will fly by.
